About Mini Aussies
The ideal mini aussie has all the attributes of the larger Aussie,
but all the advantages of a smaller dog. They range in height
from 13 to 18 inches tall. They weigh approximately 15 to 35
pounds at maturity. They come in coat colors of blue merle, red
merle, black or red, all with or without copper, tan and white
trim. Their eyes come in all colors as well. Their tails are
docked, though many times we do get natural bob tails. Their
temperment is also similar to the larger Aussies. They are
sensitive, very easily trained, and very good guardians of their
property. Exercise is a must, they need room to run and play.
This makes them very good at a game of fetch the ball, frisbee,
agility, or flyball. Their smaller size makes them good traveling
companions. Calm and confident, they are usually suspicious of
strangers. One thing for sure, they are entirely devoted to
their family.
